Coding through quarantine

CLI Project - Quarantine Live Streams

It’s day 7,562 (really only 43 but feels like 7,562) of quarantine and today feels a little brighter and more optimistic. No quarantine isn’t over and no we cant go back to normal life but today i finished my first Ruby program that i made entirely from scratch.

Why I decided to code.

In a funny twist of fate I was studying computer engineering about 10 years ago when i stumbled upon my passion as a photographer. I quickly packed up and followed my dream and have been doing photography since. The twist comes back now 10 years later after traveling and photographing all over the world I felt a pull back to my first passion. Then like a perfect storm COVID - 19 strikes. With little to do and less work as an event photographer I jumped at the opportunity to use my time and go back to finish what i had started.
